Rachel's Challenge
On Wednesday, November 9th, Kellly and Kelly ALP students took part in an anti bullying presentation called Rachel's Challenge. This program was inspired by the life of Rachel Scott, who was the first victim of the Columbine High School Shootings. Rachel believed in showing kindness to people and, even though she lived a short life, left a legacy of compassion and acceptance.
Students were challenged to:
1. Look for the best in others.
2. Treat others the way you want to be treated.
3. Speak kindness.
4. Choose positive influences
5. Forgive yourself and others.
Students at Kelly and Kelly ALP will be involved in the FOR (Friends of Rachel) Club. This student-led club will be charged with keeping the momentum started with the presentation going and to be a positive influence in our school.
